Fontus is a water bottle that converts water vapor from the air into clean drinking water. It uses solar energy to power to water condenser. This has to do with the issue of clean sources of water for personal or mass production. This technology, if given the right capacity and scale, could potentially give small communities with no real source of clean water a way to access water.
Plant lamps is a project that uses electrons emitted from microorganisms around plant roots in the dirt to power LED lights in places with no substantial source of clean power. It uses no gas, oil, or coal and is very clean. Prototypes have been given to households in Nuevo Saposoa, a village in a rain forest.
