Green Technology - Tonya Winton

A new system has successfully salvaged at least 15 lifesaving hearts by mimicking the conditions in the body rather than attempting to freeze time, in the manner of old organ transportation.   (Beating Heart)

Boyan Slat is an engineering student who is designing a concept for floating booms that would sift debris from the water.  (Cleaning Up the Ocean)

Bees are some of the hardest working creatures on the planet, and because of their laborious work ethic, we owe many thanks to this amazing yet often under appreciated insect. (Bees are Important)
Many of the foods and crops we rely on need or, at the very least, benefit from bee pollination. Here's a list of some of those crops.   (Bee pollination Important)
It has often been said that bees are responsible for one out of every three bites of food we eat. Most crops grown for their fruits (including vegetables such as squash, cucumber, tomato and eggplant), nuts, seeds, fiber (such as cotton), and hay (alfalfa grown to feed livestock), require pollination by insects. (plants need pollination)
When honeybees come into contact with glyphosate, the primary active ingredient in Monsanto's Roundup herbicide, they lose their ability to eat and have a much harder time learning how to forage properly. (bees and pesticide)

Monsanto Company is a publicly traded American multinational agrochemical and agricultural biotechnology corp headquartered in Creve Coeur, Greater St. Louis, Missouri.  It is a leading producer of genetically engineered seed, roundup, and glyphosate-based Herbicide

  1. Oh wow, technology has gotten so advanced. I would love to see more technologies mimic more organs.
