Social Commentary Video Project Plan
For my Social Commentary video project, I would like to work on the Syrian Refugees. I plan on creating a video collage from different media sources. The 3 ways i would like to go about this is using clips of the travelling, different news cast, or using quotes and phrases from the refugees. I have thought about using other refugee situations (Vietnam) in the video as well.

My 2nd approach is the use shoes to tell the story line. Where the shoe came from or began is important to understand the background of the owner. The shoe and the person will go through a vigorous journey throughout the video. This shows he suffering a person might go through to survive. Suddenly the film will cut off from there; the journey still happening.
ReplyDeleteMy 3rd approach, is to capture the European map. Using watercolor as my medium. I will draw out the map, layer the escape routes and Mediterranean sea with water, and use drops of red ink on the map to show how far and wide the refugees traveled to safety. Syria will have a drop of ink,if needed then i push it through the water helping the ink lead to refugee camps on the map.
