Film proposal

Three ideas:

- the life of a groupie: going to concerts and supporting the band, exploring the city where the concerts are in, shopping, eating in cool restaurants

-life as the oldest child: exploring the hardships and responsibilities that come with being the oldest.

-technology addict: flipping through various sites and tv channels to show what it's like to be on the internet and watching tv from the outside instead of experiencing it yourself.

Proposal 1: Stole My Coffee
My roommate and I have a keurig in our room and one of us would make coffee or some drink and when we went to drink it it would be empty. The other would have a new glass that had the drink in it, and it would escalate from there. Starting with drinks, then maybe microwave food, then jackets, and then I'm not sure.

Proposal 2: Elevator Genie
A man calls an elevator, and when it opens, there's a genie inside of it. He was trapped in an elevator instead of a lamp. Shenanigans would ensue.

Proposal 3: Too many poptarts.
My roommate and I have actually had something similar where I told him I was thinking about buying a poptart from the vending machine. When he went to the store later he stopped by the poptart aisle and was overwhelmed and a little frightened by the sheer number of choices they had for flavors of poptarts. A similar situation would happen in most likely a walmart because thats where people will give me the least weird looks.

A day in the life of my mom - I would follow her around for a day (or most of the day) and show what her life is like.

Go down town and film what life is like for the homeless and/or Transient  people.

This Sunday is Beltain, the Pagan is considered an ancient fertility festival.  A local group is holding a public celebration I would go there, with permission from those gathered, and film the ceremony and the merriment before and after the celebrations.

I stumbled across this video this last december and this video has always stuck with me. Maybe because it hits home really hard for me after leaving my fiancé, or maybe because this video just exudes such compelling emotion and are portrayed in such a beautiful way. Either way I think Id like to do something along the lines of this video.

This is one of my all time favorite movies!!!



I would like to make a mini set from cardboard and shoot my movie within that.. I don't know what to do about content. Taking suggestions....

Im thinking about making a cardboard set that is circular and enclosed. I am also thinking that putting a lens or filming from the outside of the box looking in would be a cool angle. Maybe of me just doing an everyday act. Im not sure. im out of ideas honestly.

I thought this video was very attention grabbing. Basically shows that you are who you are for a reason and there will be bad days but everything works out in the end.
1. My first proposal will be a short film about me it will involve hair and bubblegum. I am pretty excited for it. Hopefully it comes out the way I imagine it. 2. A face (probably mine) being used to see how different things will look, being painted and basically treated in all kinds of ways. 3. This is the video that I liked. It's from a youtube channel that takes professional videos of animals and then comments over them in a deep tone to make it sound like a documentary. It's humorous because of how serious the video appears to be but the commentary sounds haphazardly put together.



 For my video, I want to make light-hearted with the same dry humor.



Proposal:

-Commentary of my dog's daily life.

-Make up a past life for my pet.

-A Mockumentary about someone.

This is a video by a company called Rooster Teeth. They are a video production company with shorts, Let's Plays, Machinima series, animated series, and many more. They have evolved from a few guys in their apartment playing Halo and making funny jokes, to a full blown company with million of fans, followers, and subscribers. They are a great example of video art and what you can do with ambition.

I tried but I had a little problem with the audio the beginning plays good but then it starts sort of getting too staticky. so I also added the soundcloud one minute audio in case anyone wants to hear it.

Xochitl Zamorano- Artist Research Yayoi Kusama

(Infinity Mirror Room- Phalli's Field" 1965

Yayoi Kusama is an artist born in Matsumoto, Japan. I chose her because after reading her biography I thought her life was very interesting. Kusama began painting at the age of 10 after she began hallucinating (usually fields of polka dots). Kusama moved to New York after receiving a letter by Georgia O'Keeffe so I thought that was very cool. Kusama spent a lot of years in New York and did many installations usually involving mirrors and polka dots. In 1977 she moved back to Japan where she willingly decided to live in a mental hospital. In 2004 she also had an exhibition in Tokyo that drew in 520,000 people. Apart from being an artist she is also a poet and a filmmaker.

My proposal is to use Flash on a flower it seems like fun to use Flash so I will try to make the flower have the flowers do as much motion as possible.

Animation and proposal

My animation project proposal will be a Plants vs Zombies themed animation.  The basic story behind the idea, something I'd made in Intro to Photography, is a Snow Pea (a froze pea shooter) is watching the area.  A zombie is hiding behind some trees.  The zombie moves, which catches the attention of the Snow pea.

My proposal is to have a anthropomorphic lollipop living out its short life as a free candy.

My thought process is to use the audio from our last project and create a story of the day dream the driver has while listening to music in his drive. His environment will change with how engrossed he is in the music, and it will have a harsh snap back to reality in the end.

My proposal for this next project is to make a one minute clip about my dogs shenanigans that he gets into daily. I am thinking something with eating stuff he isn't suppose to do or maybe him doing tricks to get treats. I am not sure yet. Looking forward to playing around with the software a little bit to get familiar with the program

What I want to do is have a ribbon dancing to orchestral/dub much like my sound project, but a different version.

For my sound proposal I decided to do a dreamlike sound of what it felt like to enjoy concerts to me when I was younger. The sounds and noises on this are my favorite reasons why I would go to concerts. It is the pull of the music that sort of catches all of your attention and for a couple of hours people seem to forget their problems and just focus on the music.

• The chatter of anticipation in the beginning when we were waiting for the artist or band to set up their equipment.
• The people clapping and the noise quieting down as soon as we heard the plug of the instrument then the different songs that were played and at the end the humming and low song is the dreamlike state that seems to take place once the night is almost over.

For my sound project I want to create a suspenseful scene that uses regular everyday sounds per say and make this scene turn into a song. The song will represent the anxiety and fear felt from the buildup of first part/scene of the song. The reason for my idea is because I want to take a different take, somewhat, on what you would expect from a horror clip/sound.

Xuan Ha - Sound Project and New Proposal

I wanted to create a sound that makes the listener feel as if he/she is wandering off at night. It makes the listener feel aware and anxious of not knowing what's around them. This sound was inspired from when I was playing a video game where I was wandering in a forest and I felt too anxious yet curious of what was ahead. I wanted to capture the exact mood that I felt when I was playing in that scene.

Here is my sound project. It started out to be a longer piece, but the more I listened to it the more I disliked it. It had too much going on and sounded cluttered.
