Ryan McNamara’s Still, 2012, collages photos of and props from performances with cutouts of viewers.

By Richard HamiltonCreated in 1956 for the catalog of an exhibition in London, “Just What Is It that Makes Today’s Homes So Different, So Appealing?” was the first work of pop art (or indeed collage) to achieve iconic status. It consists of images taken mainly from American magazines and advertisements.
I absolutely love your second photo by Ryan McNamara... The color mixed with the wood and other objects makes for a gorgeous product.
ReplyDeleteThe one by Ryan McNamara is so interesting to me because it plays with the dimensions by flattening areas using the collage. I have a feeling that it would be totally different in person.
