I wanted to portray a strong character in my self portrait because that was the feeling I received when I looked at the female portraits I chose in my earlier post. Although I would have liked a different color scheme, I chose to stick with this one mainly because I didn't know how to change the colors (until a few hours ago). I wanted to challenge myself by incorporating a painterly effect that Ross Tran and Henrik Aa. Uldalen did in their works but unfortunately Adobe Illustrator isn't really known for that so I did the best I could to achieve those effects. I enjoyed this project for I was able to gain a better understanding of Adobe Illustrator and what it has to offer.
Your skills with Illustrator are pretty amazing. I love the image and how it looks so professional, you did a very good job. My main problem was creating an image that looked like me, you succeeded in capturing your likeness and creating the feeling you were going for.
