Water & Mow Cycle - Collin Ensz

This piece is designed to make people think about wasteful use of water. It is set at Cheney State Park, which is fitting as a water source for Wichita as well as a public place where people will have opportunity to view the work. It would spin to suggest the mower moves around watering the grass behind it, which continually grows, making the mowing and watering never ending. I had originally been working with a spiral shape, but used a ring instead since it fits the idea of a cycle better.
The city of Wichita or the State Park system may both have an interest in funding this piece.

  1. I think this artwork sends a strong message to anyone viewing it. When they see the water spilling on the ground they might become angry at such a waste of water, and then they'll realize that they do the same thing.
