Digital artist JR Schmidt specialises in 3D art and motion graphics. His portfolio is not the most extensive we've seen but what is there is definitely worth taking a look at.
Semenov's work looks just like it was made from charcoal or graphite. It's a great example of how digital painting has gotten to the point where it can be mistaken for physical media.
